An Active Participant of the
United Nations Global
Compact since November 2024.

Here's exactly what that commitment means, what it doesn't, and where it connects to the work we do every day.

What This Commitment Actually Is

What this commitment actually is

The UN Global Compact is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. Joining means publicly committing to align operations with Ten Principles covering human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption — and reporting on that progress every year, in public, through a Communication on Progress.

It is not a certification of any medicine or service, and it is not the United Nations endorsing Getmeds.

Getmeds has been an Active Participant since 4 November 2024, with two Communications on Progress filed — 2025 and 2026 — both checkable by anyone at unglobalcompact.org.

Sustainable Development Goals

The goals closest to what we actually do

These are the goals our everyday work is positioned to advance — not a claim that every target under each one has been met.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being

Good Health and Well-Being

Connecting a patient who can't access or afford a prescribed medicine with a legitimate, documented way to get it. It isn't an initiative alongside the business. It is the business.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

Reduced Inequalities

The same medicine, prescribed for the same diagnosis, can be unavailable or unaffordable for no reason other than which country a patient happens to live in.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Partnerships for the Goals

Depends on manufacturers who meet international standards, hospitals and physicians who trust the supply chain, and regulators in every country reached. Global Compact participation is itself one such partnership.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Responsible Consumption and Production

One of the twelve manufacturer-selection standards already gives extra weight to partners who support sustainability initiatives such as eco-friendly packaging. A modest step, honestly stated as one.

This shows up in how we work with everyone we serve

These commitments aren't separate from the rest of the business — they're the same standards that shape how we work with patients and with our trade partners.
